Absolutely delicious and fingerlicking food, completely inhaled the Beyaynet vegan combination and the chicken. The owners were so nice and welcoming as well!!

One of the best authentic Ethiopian cuisine experience in Melbourne. I have been a frequent visitor to Sinq, both to dine-in and do take-aways and the friendly staff, the amazing coffee and the thirst quenching ‘birz’ in such a great location makes every visit worthwhile. And oh I highly recommend the fried fish - it’s delectable!

went here for a big dinner. Such a lovely experience, was large group of us, around 10, but the owner was very accommodating and brought out a range of dishes he thought we should try. the food was amazing, everything we tasted was delicious and full of flavour. If we ever needed anything more the owner cooked it up for us. The place could do with some more art and decorations on the walls as it looks a bit plain, but its a new establishment and the food and service more than make up for it. highly recommend and definitely will be coming back to support an amazing grass roots local business.

The owner of the restaurant, the Ethiopian lady was so welcoming and friendly. Forstvwe were served with a complimentary starter an Injerra ( a kind of a flat bread made of ground Teff flour) , followed by what we ordered, chicken curry - succulent well flavored tender chicken curry was all of our favourite, next the deep fried fresh well seasoned barramundi served with a chilli sauce, beef mince ( slightly cooked) with cottage cheese. We were so full but thought we would have the only dessert they have, sweet pop corn and coffee. It was a very strong coffee , and very good quality. The coffee was on the house too. Our bill was just $80 for 4 pax, so worth for all what we had. She didn’t charge us corkage. Would definitely go back and recommend everyone to drop in and support this new restaurant.

I have only good things to say about Sinq Foods. Since first coming here about 2 years ago, I've consistently been served delicious, gigantic portions of stews, curries, kitfo (very rare minced beef cooked in clarified butter and spices), and perhaps my favourite, a whole deep fried barramundi. Never have I been let down, and I'll keep coming here as long as I'm around Melbourne.

Incredible food and hospitality! Best Ethiopian restaurant in Melbourne. The ginger beer is completely delicious and goes so nicely with the gorgeous food. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. I visited from East Brunswick and it took about 10 min in a car. Well worth a visit, you’ll love it!
